<description>Last week the first week in November Omar e-mailed me saying he saw my post on him.

Based on what he said in the e-mail, I decided not to respond back, as I wasn't about to get into an argument with him. I had already wasted enough of my precious time.

Then a week later he IMs me on Yahoo asking if I got the e-mail.

As it's not in my nature to ignore people (passive aggression), I responded yes &#038; told him why I didn't respond back.

While I understand that Omar wants my post removed, I don't feel I should.

It defeats the whole purpose of why I put it up in the first place.

In the e-mail Omar tells me there was no Japanese businessman, so that was his first lie, then he tells me it was all because of his father, 2nd lie. You will find out the real reason he disappeared &#038; never did the work he promised when you read below.

Then on Yahoo IM he states the following...

"And by the way, you really shouldn't be complaining. Today I charge $1,500 a letter, back then I charged $400. $400 is dirt cheap for any copywriter. On top of that, I spent time talking to your son, and being supportive outside the realm of merely a copywriter. That's something else you failed to mention in that review. All that review accomplishes is badmouthing me and potentially screwing me over if i want to apply for a job, since people now Google potential employee's names.

Hostler along with at least three or four other copywriters told me to stop working for you. They all told me horror stories, so I listened. I was new to the industry and they'd been working at it for years. Whether it was the right decision or not is an issue of the past. Leaving me on that page however is simply mean and spiteful. You lost two weeks of your life, zero dollars, and for that you could potentially screw up my chances of future employment for life. Not what I'd call fair."

To respond to what he said.

1. I am amused at the comment that I shouldn't be complaining about how I was treated.

Omar, I'm no longer complaining, I'm simply now relaying my story.

I never got any finished product from him, so him flaunting the fact that now he charges people $1,500 shows me insecurity, &#038; for me makes him seem like his behaviour months ago was justified because of the price he gave me at that time.

He told me his price was $400, &#038; I feel Omar needs to learn to take responsibility for his decisions.

When I got the one draft which I can't even recollect now, I read his work. It wasn't that good, &#038; he even stated he didn't think it was that great.

I never got a 2nd or 3rd draft, &#038; no final copy, so what he charges now is totally irrelevant to the issue that was.

2. What made Omar's situation worse than the others, was the fact that him &#038; I talked on the phone as friends for several hours before I even hired him. I got to know him as a person which helped me make my decision to hire him despite his lack of working experience.

At one point a few days after that he did me a favour talking to my teenage son about shaving.

Somehow he thinks him doing this one favour for me justifies how he treated me both from a business perspective, as well as how someone would treat someone they conversed with for such a long period of time.

3. Hostler &#038; others badmouthed me like little children in school (ooh stay away from her, she's...).

I never did anything to these guys. Based on what Omar said, it has further confirmed what I figured happened last year, that this circle of immature little boys go around disrupting small business's lives if there is something they don't like about the person running the business.

They are unable to state upfront they don't want to do the job, &#038; if there is something they don't like, instead of discussing it like a mature adult, they just disappear or go around making sure their entire little cliche stays away.

My business is very very important to me &#038; I wasted tons of time chasing after these copywriters &#038; forking over money for nothing.

I feel I did nothing wrong except believe the lies these guys told me that they were either going to do the work, or they did the work &#038; the quality of their work they produced was sub par.

I am the type of person who assumes everyone is a nice professional person, as that is who I am.

I have no reason to think otherwise until I experience something different.

If Omar wants to follow the bullying crowd, that's his choice, but Omar needs to learn that he has to take responsibility for his choices in life.

Telling me his age (that was part of his e-mail) &#038; using that as an excuse doesn't discount his actions.

If he is that immature, &#038; can't make choices of his own free will, he shouldn't be out there promoting himself as a professional anything, let alone a professional copywriter that determines the fate of a company &#038; how well they produce sales based on the copy they produce. Hiring a copywriter is a very important position to any company.

4. I am NOT bad mouthing Omar. I am relating my experience from one business owner to another.

As I clearly stated on my blog, I am doing this to help other businesses be aware of my experiences.

5. I did NOT lose only 2 weeks of my valuable time. I lost a lot more waiting 3 weeks for him to start on the project, as that was his time frame, then me chasing him the 3rd week for something to read over, then finally realizing that he had disappeared &#038; wasn't going to do the project or even be respectful enough to tell me he was going to cancel the project &#038; why.

Any business person knows how much wasted time &#038; stress costs us in the present &#038; down the road.

I will state that Omar did apologize for his mistake, but I feel that based on his continuous lies about why he just disappeared, I can't trust him.

I feel he is just doing this because the cat is now out of the bag.

He did try to send me that copy he did last year, but I didn't accept it.

I don't want it, it is not work that was done with a positive attitude or done to try &#038; help my company succeed.

I ONLY seek independent contractors who really care about the businesses they work for &#038; really really want to help those businesses grow.
