Windhy was hired to help me pack up my house when I moved.

At first he seemed like a really sweet guy (Filipino), but towards the end he became irresponsible & didn’t come over to complete the rest.

Had that been the ONLY issue, I wouldn’t be writing this, BUT, I found out later on he stole 2 things from me.

He stole my ipod, & a necklace.

I know I didn’t lose them, they were right on my dresser.

I never took the ipod out, it had all my meditation sessions on there that now I lost.

The necklace was in a box where I always put it.

I didn’t realize until a few months later that they were even gone, as I don’t wear the necklace often, the ipod I only used when I meditated, & of course getting settled after a move is a long process most of the time.

I was very upset, & no I never e-mailed him, he had stopped returning my e-mails around the time I e-mailed him to come help me unpack at the new house.

I guess one doesn’t want to show up when they know these things will be found out.

I’m only writing this post now because I just started this blog a few months ago, & I meant to add him to this blog, but I forgot until he came into my mind today. It’s been just over a year since he packed for me, back in October of 2006.

Be careful of who you hire to pack & unpack for you, this guy seemed nice, clearly he’s a thief & steals, & no, no one else unpacked those boxes that were in my room, I ended up unpacking most of my room & everything else was there except these 2 items, & I remember the night like it was yesterday when I had him pack up my room.

Gina applied to our Word Expert position back in May of 2007.

After talking to her for a bit, I decided to ask her if she wanted the marketing apprentice position I had open, as she was interested in learning online marketing.

She thought about it for a few days, & she said “yes”.

I was happy, as she seemed smart & on the ball.

She knew she had to sign a 6 month contract & give us written notice.

Gina started off training herself using the material we purchased for her.

That was the agreement, she learn on her own time, we pay for all materials, she gets paid for work.

She seemed really enthusiastic about learning & working & things seemed to be coming along within a month, but then there started to be problems.

Gina would become easily frustrated when she found mistakes the previous person had made, & instead of just fixing them & moving along, she would make herself distraught because she couldn’t just do the work 1-2-3.

She also refused to ask companies for help which wasted a ton of time.

While I admire someone who wishes to tackle things on their own, if finding the answer is quicker by asking others the answer, then by all means, ask, as time is money. She refused to change her ways on this & it became very frustrating for me.

There was one time when talking to her on the phone that I thought she was on drugs or alcohol. Of course I asked her about it, & was of course she said she was not. She seemed spacey & out to lunch.

Gina also had a terrible problem responding to my e-mails. I would constantly have to chase her to get the e-mails answered.

Several times I asked her to shape up her act, each time she promised she would.

I found out over time she was a very disorganized person.

She couldn’t create a goal list she was able to stick to, she didn’t want to log her tasks in the office management system, she didn’t want to write up a 5-10 minute file at the end of her shift answering a few questions. This was mandatory for every team member so they could help themselves, as well as management.

There were tasks she was asked to do but never finished, but I was trying to be really patient with her because this was all new to her.

A couple of times I asked her if she really wanted this position & she said yes.

Being this was my first time filling this position, I was a lot more lax than I normally would be with a team member who had so many issues.

Then out of the blue Gina said she was going to get a temp job part time until after the holiday season. She never discussed this with me, & I was very surprised.

Since the work she had to do for us was maybe 2-3 hours per day if that, I figured she could do both. I was wrong.

She wasn’t doing her work quickly at all. She was also in the middle of creating some forms for us & she never completed the task so we were left high & dry.

I called her one night & she asked me what she could do for me as if me calling was something very unusual.

I asked her for the forms because asking through e-mail wasn’t working, & she wasn’t returning my calls.

She said she would get them to me that night & then she proceeded to ignore all of my calls & e-mails from that point on. I personally had no idea what was going on with her, she never once communicated any problems she had with the company, myself, or other team members.

She did NOT fulfill her contract, give us notice, or even finish the important tasks that were pending.

While Gina seemed to be a nice person & I definitely appreciated that she worked very hard the first month or two, I just couldn’t deal with her unprofessionalism, her lack of communication, disorganization, & leaving us high & dry.

Gina has moved around a bit, so she may not be in Missouri if & when she applies for a job with you. I believe she lived in Chicago, & the other places elude me, but here is her resume if this helps… http://www.ginasvirtualoffice.com/resume/GMonte-resume.pdf

Thank you
