If you need to confirm his phone number, you can e-mail me.

Here we go again. I guess until I find a mature professional who knows how to design well & follow simple instructions, I will continue to post my experiences.

John responded to our hiring ad, but didn’t give us everything we asked for, he only gave us our keywords, & he seemed so sincere saying they were down to earth, great at customer service, etc., so I sincerely told him it’s too bad he didn’t give us all we asked for. I wasn’t being sarcastic, I was simple stating my disappointment.

The next thing I know, I’m getting arrogance & ego about how I’m missing out on great work because of the questions.

So I responded back, how great could you possibly be if you can’t communicate well. I even forget that he went on & on about how great they were with communication.

For me communication online deals with the person responding to every single question you ask, & making comments to the most important comments the writer made. This isn’t offline telephone or in person communication, this is online written communication, & if a person can’t read or write English very well & not miss key parts of an ad or e-mail, they were not able to work for us online.

So, John’s attitude next was to say how great there portfolio is because they have had jobs from Harley Davidson & General Motors & this next sentence pissed me off “But I guess tunnel.   minds with their set ideals can not be changes.”

John, we DON’T look at portfolios if you can’t even respond properly to a hiring ad.

I wrote him back, & spoke my mind & told him NOT to contact us again.

Once again I feel like I’m dealing with a child.

Not only did he have to try & prove he was right & I was wrong therefore not taking responsibility for his mistakes, he never ONCE apologized for the mistakes he did make.

I don’t deal with these types of people, we are ONLY seeking people who admit when they are wrong, & mature enough to apologize & correct the mistake(s).

Blaming others is a C level worker’s way of doing things. An A+ worker never blames others for their mistakes because they man or woman up.

Michelle,

I had a very similar experience with John Zagurasky, who I like to differentiate from his exemplary coder John Nelson. Read the following email, which is a reply my comments on his work.
Background:
I used John Zagurasky from OnlyDesign.org to complete a previously botched social network. His involvement beyond “finder’s fee” was minimal, but he claimed a large part of credit to the detriment of his coder, John Nelson. He significantly under quoted me and underestimated the end date of my project. He proceeded to blame me for his exceedingly low price and poor investigation of the project’s scale and scope.

After months of struggling towards completion (the site was completed under the control of John Nelson), I lost all faith in the coding/design industry as a whole. In a moment of despair, I made the mistake of recommending John Zagurasky to my sister-in-law, who was setting up a simple career site. John Zagurasky again promised numerous deadlines he could not meet, failed to complete the installation and never utilized his so called “Expert in WebScribble”.

When John emplored me for a positive review from my sister-in-law, after I declined to comment on the project, I replied that “we have a different idea of performance and deadlines”. I thought this a corgial and honest reply. Here is what followed:

“Lol, because there was a problem with software that she decided to
purchase I’m sure its my fault.

Just like fixing all of the problems the Romanians did to your site
was my fault.

I know perfectly well about deadlines, I meet them every day of my
life for 100% satisfied clients.

Its funny how everyone else I do work for is satisfied…. Should make
you wonder where the problem really is.

You said it all with your idea of “performance and deadlines”.
I should have billed you $50 an hour for all the programming work
outside of the original scope.

I should not have went out of my way to help her service a problem
with a software that I did not even create for no extra charge.

Do, do. do for you people. I’ve never seen a group of people so unappreciative.

Please do not respond. E-mail me back only if you need my assistance
with something for your website.
