David responded on oDesk to a very low level task of copying & pasting.

He was given our application to read over & fill out.

David didn’t read it over, so we told him that he would no longer be considered, as we only hire A+ workers who care about the quality of their work & care about the companies they work for as well.

David’s angry response was, “Excuse me? What instructions didn’t I follow?”

I told him it’s not MY responsibility to show him what he missed & the fact that he expects us to do that & he doesn’t take the initiative speaks volumes. I asked him not to respond back, but of course he did with,

“Fine. May your business crumble, jerk.”

Lazy workers expect others around them to show them their mistakes instead of them finding them on their own. In my opinion David is a C level worker.

Frances Landers responded to our technical admin assistant on oDesk, & when I found out she was working full time, I said we can’t consider her for that position.

We don’t hire people who only want a part time job.

So I gave her a list of positions that could be part time & she picked the copywriting apprentice position saying she had experience writing articles.

We went through everything & the night we were supposed to finish off the interview via the phone, she didn’t answer her phone, not her home or her cell & I was surprised, as she was REALLY excited about the position.

Needless to say I wasn’t happy.

She fell asleep on the couch, so I asked her point blank the next day if doing a 2nd job was going to be an issue for her & she said that night was an unusual circumstance with her son & it won’t ever happen again.

We completed the interview that night & she was sent a test project where she was to edit the copy for an existing web page.

She was allowed to pick one out of two & she did. The following day she e-mailed me telling me she would get it back to me by 8 pm that night, which was Saturday.

So you guessed it, that night at 10:30 pm when I got to my computer I received nothing from her. Not even an e-mail stating she would be late.

The next day I e-mailed her saying I was very disappointed in her actions & I never heard from her again.

I knew she got my e-mails & she has been online since then.

Another independent contractor who wasted my precious time & I feel plays games with companies.
