Tammy responded to our Technical Admin position, so we forwarded her our application to fill out.
After that, Tammy PMed us from Guru insinuating that we were being unprofessional & trying to scam her into starting a business opportunity by forking over money, or that the position wasn’t what we had originally stated.
“Thank you, but I’m only interested in becoming an Admin Assistant.
The application was very specific, however, after reading through, I feel this position is either sales/promoting/marketing or some sort of investment for becoming my own business/company and this not something I’d be interested in.
I would have liked some further understanding of the position, but in all of your requirements, nowhere was there any explanations. And that sounds a bell.
Thank you.”
We wrote back telling her we didn’t know what she was talking about, the hiring ad clearly explained the position, & that she has been deleted as a potential candidate. Of course we would never consider hiring anyone who behaves in this manner, nor is it a company’s responsibility to fully explain a position before they have screened & interviewed a potential team member. In fact, our hiring ads give a lot of detail as to what the team member will be doing.
The bottom line is, this is NOT how business is done, but unfortunately so many independent contractors online have this attitude that they deserve the world, & that the company should bow down to them instead of them fighting to get a position with the company.
Like all professional companies, we have a procedure in place, & that’s screening the application first, but we find that some independent contractors have this sense of “entitlement”. They don’t like being screened, they feel they are better than that.
She was clearly very confused, or someone who lives in a tremendous amount of fear to go around accusing our company of something we were NOT doing. Yes we sell a business opportunity, but NO, we did NOT try & sell this Tammy character our business opportunity. We were sincere (as always) in looking for someone to add to our team.
We believe she then went & lied to Guru telling them the same thing, that we tried to sell her on something instead of what we were really doing, which was offering a REAL position.
Beware of very dysfunctional independent contractors online who go around causing trouble. This Tammy Lindley lives in a dream world making up stories because she lives in a constant state of fear, then when we are honest with her, she runs to tattle on us as if she is still 10 years old.

This company is Exotic Publishing. On http://www.guru.com, they listed the address as Nelsonville, OH 45764 – USA, but who really knows where they are? BBB states an exotic publishing as:
Exotic Publishing
266 Elmwood Ave.
Buffalo, NY 14222
One thing is for sure. “Michelle” is a very angry person and proof will be shown to you if you read all of Exotic Publishing’s submissions on this site. Apparantly, they get very angry when someone will not do as they like them to do. It seems this company or it’s representatives use sites like this to vent their anger. Please see all sides of Michelle’s complaints.
Here is an exerpt from http://WWW.Guru.com
Dear Tammy,
Thank you for contacting Guru.com. I truly appreciate you bringing this project to our attention. This employer was removed from our site in the past and has recreated a new account with false/misleading information. I have closed down her account and her information will be monitored in an effort to prevent her from registering again.
Thank you,
